This is where I will post short, sweet, and to the point blurbs about Buster’s daily training to keep track of his progress. I’ve recently purchased a Moleskine notebook specifically dedicated to keeping a detail training diary, but I think seeing a blip of his progress will be helpful to anyone with a reactive dog.
You can reading more specific posts on what we’ve been doing with training up to this point, but in a nutshell, we’ve been working on trick training, reactivity training (desensitization/counter-conditioning under threshold), and the Relaxation Protocol
3/15/15 – Buster goes to the rug by the back door on his own and lays down in a relaxed body position. Lots of clicking and treating. Container of food drops out of the fridge, onto the floor, and spills all over. Buster didn’t move a muscle. He stayed on the rug just watching as Greg cleaned up the mess. Tons of clicking and treats.
